Description:
This gun has a bright excellent bore and the metal surfaces of this 1983 vinage carbine retain 95% plus of the original blue with light muzzle, high edge and bearing surface wear, some small scattered spots of light oxidation and some very light staining on the trigger guard. The black polymer ventilated handguard rates excellent. The smooth American hardwood pistolgrip stock rates very good plus with some scattered minor handling marks, the most notable of which is a jagged, but unobtrusive scratch on the bottom of the forend behind the sling swivel. This 180 series carbine utilizes a rather complicated external bolt hold open rather than the plunger found on later models. The original sights and sling swivels remain intact, one factory five round magazine is included. This unusual Mini-14 should be a welcome addition to any Ruger enthusiast's collection.
