SAKO barreled actions were as they are today often chosen as the basis for a custom rifle build. They were respected for their precision and accuracy. This particular rifle was built by Paul Jaeger of Jenkinstown, PA. prior to moving out of state because of Philadelphia gun laws. It is based on a SAKO L57 medium length action and SAKO varmit profiled 24" barrel. The bore condition is near perfect, possibly lapped for accuracy by Jaeger. The stock is lightly figured, close grained walnut in a period correct varmint / target style. It features a profiles cheek piece, very fine and precise point style checkering, a checkered steel grip cap and a hard rubber butt plate. Although the action incorporates SAKO bottom metal, it is confugured as a single shot. The trigger is a Timney single set configuration with a very precise let off. The rifle is topped with a J. Unertl 15X scope in adjustable mounts. The scope is in near perfect condition with sharp/clear optice. It features parralax corection and metal screw on caps. Metal condition on this rifle is near perfect. Wood condition is the same with no appreciable marks. The rifle as configured weights 11.5 lbs. All transactions must go through an FFL dealer. A standard 3 day non-firing inspection applies. Any returns are at the expence of the purchaser to include costs incurred on my end. SOLD |
