Great condition Marlin Model 336A rifle made in 1951, serial number H42619, will all correct features including the 24" round barrel with Ballard-style rifling, 2/3 magazine, plain walnut stock with pistol grip and bullseye in toe line, semi-beavertail fore arm, Marlin butt plate with white spacer, caliber 35 Remington,with correct plug screws in the factory drilled and tapped holes on the left side of the receiver for a Lyman, Redfield, or Williams peep sight. Top of receiver has the factory squiggly lines for non-glare sighting. All features confirmed by the text included in Col. Brophy's book as well as "The 336" by Doug Murray.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original factory blue with a few light scratches. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, no extra holes, never sanded or refinished. Mint bore. Strong action with working half cock safety. Super shooter - see target pic, using Hornady LeveRevolution ammo. Grades NRA Modern Excellent and a must-have for the sportsman and Marlin collector alike.
