Description:
Complete WWI British Officer's Webley Mk VI set in excellent condition. An exceptionally fine Finnigan's of Bond street, burgundy oak grain leather holster along with an original Webley & Scott .22 LR target barrel conversion.
Finnigan's, long regarded as one of the world's finest luggage makers & luxury goods retailers of the early 20th Century, at times also made custom holsters. This piece is dated on the reverse 1916 along with the Maker's Mark, it remains in pristine condition after one-hindered & four year maintaining its original form perfectly. This piece would have been a private purchase or a gift for a gentleman officer leaving home for war. The stitching is tight and the brass is perfect. Two small rows of stitching have been removed without damage from the belt loop, this is easily replaced.
The Webley is in excellent condition, action timing is exact with perfect chamber alignment. Typical strong trigger pull, clean cylinders with both of the barrels showing bright, strong lands & grooves.
