Description:
20ga Browning BSS Sporter, SST, 26" bbls, IC/Mod chokes, 14 1/4" LOP to factory buttplate, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 7/16" DAH. 2 3/4" & 3" chamber. 6lbs 8oz. 1978 date of manufacture. This gun has been hunted and shows about 90+% blue remaining. There is blue wear on the trigger guard tang and uppper tang and safety switch. There is also blue wear on the lower corners of the frame. The stock and forend show many minor marks and a few deep marks, two of which are prominent on the bottom of the stock. There is one small spot (about 1/32") in the bluing where silver is showing thru about 8" from the breech. The gun has been shot moderately but locks up tight with the lever right of center. This is a great quail or pheasant gun for the experienced upland hunter and is similar to a gun used by Dez Young in the Hunting with Hank TV show. These BSS Sporters are quick to point, but have enough weight to allow a smooth swing. I used this gun on serveral hunts to South Dakota, Kansas, and Arizona. 3 day inspection.
