Description:
Here we have a Smith and Wesson model 1917 chambered in 45 ACP. The serial number puts this firearm as being manufactured in December of 1917. The revolver has the correct military proof marks as well as the "United states property" stamp on the underside of the barrel. The grips while being authentic Smith and Wesson grips are not the correct grips to this firearm. The finish on the steel is in fair to good condition for a firearm from the time period, with most of the wear being concentrated on the barrel and cylinders. .45 ACP
