#40122, Al & Roger Biesen Gunmaker Spokane, Wn.: A Total Custom by Al & Roger Biesen in 270 Winchester on a Winchester Pre-War Model 70 Action, The action was made in 1941, 23 3/8" Douglass Premium barrel without any open sights, The barrel profile is that of a Pre-64 Featherweight by Winchester, Integral machined sling eye on the barrel, 2 piece Leupold profiled scope bases, 1" rings, Blackburn straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, A 3-position Model 70 wing safety, Two panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Model 70 trigger, Jeweled bolt and follower, Action rails inside and out are polished, Built-up & checkered bolt stop release, Profiled rear receiver tang like a pre-war Model 70 with a blind guard screw, A pure Biesen Custom Classic style stock, Biesen classic full wrap around Fleur-De-Lis checkering with a fairly deep recess, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, 2 screw rear sling eye, Skeleton grip cap with wood checkering, 14 1/4" LOP over a 7/8" Decelerator pad, 8 lbs. 1 oz., The bore is as new, An excellent piece of English Walnut with excellent dark color and black/brown contrast, The original Biesen satin blue remains at 98%, The original stock finish at 99%, The checkering is at 100%, This piece is totally like the day it left the Biesen shop. It will shoot 1/2" groups with 130 grain Triple Shock bullets that will produce 3100 fps. Here is another classic Al & Roger Biesen with excellent inletting.
