J. STEVENS ARMS CO. NO. 26 CRACK SHOT 26 SMALL FRAME SINGLE SHOT .22RF BOYS RIFLE. Serial number "306X". 20" barrel with deep rifling but some pits mixed in with most of the pitting near the chamber-typical. Factory sights on barrel and crisp barrel address. Stock and forend original and TIGHT(usually loose). A small hairline on both sides of wrist but both end about 1" back from receiver and go nowhere. Takedown knob tight as is action when in battery although lever a bit wobbly-typical. Original finish to all metal covered with patina mixed with crud/grease will clean nicely and all factory addresses/Model stamps fairly crisp. The No. 26 was made from 1913-41.
