Description:
This is a beautiful actual World War II production Remington Model 1903A3 rifle issued in February, 1943. All of the marked parts on this Remington are the original factory parts including the bolt and front sight. See pictures. The barrel, which is in very good condition is dated "1-43" and marked with a flaming bomb and the letters R.A. The rifling shows sharp lands and grooves and is bright thoughout. The bore measures 1.5. All of the metal parts show a very nice parkerizing. This rifle has the Hatcher Hole and been very well cared-for and has obviously spent most of it's life post-WW II in storage. The original Walnut stock and hardguard are in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or with only very minor dings. The original "RA" stamp is still visible on the left side of the stock at the wrist, as is a faint U.S. Ordnance Wheel cartouche. All of the mechanics on this rifle are in perfect working order, and the adjustable rear sight functions perfectly. The bolt works smoothly and precisely in this 1903A3, and turns into battery without any slop. This Remington should be just as accurate and reliable today as it was when it left the factory in 1943. This '03A3 comes with an olive drab cloth sling on it. Comes with 5 ammo clips in the stock butt well.
