Description:
Serial #F6518, .38 S&W, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1938-dated revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel, with the metal retaining about 97-98% of a wartime matte blue finish with some slight silvering along the high edges and projections, as well as some scattered specks of plum-brown freckling. The grooved wooden grips are in fine shape with some minor handling marks on both panels, and the butt is stamped with a Royal Engineers issue number: “16 RE". The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly, however there is a tiny amount of lateral play in the barrel when the barrel is closed. This is a near excellent, unit marked Enfield No. 2 revolver overall. FFL or C&R
