Description:
Serial #35261, 54 Bore (about .45 Cal.), 5 3/4" octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves near the muzzle. This is an extremely handsome revolver that has retained 90-95% of the original bright blue finish that has silvered mildly at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, and faded to bright gray at the end of the pivoting rammer, which is mounted on the left side of the frame and still has bright fire bluing at the base. Likewise, the trigger, and sliding safety have a commensurate amount of fire blue remaining, with bright gray on the balance. A small spot of cleaned pitting is present at the front of the topstrap on either side of the frame. The revolver is extensively London proofed and has an Irish retailer name engraved along the topstrap and barrel flat: “ARTHUR WHITE. BOOT LANE. DUBLIN". A London Armoury Co. “LA/C" crown and shield emblem is present on the right side of the cylinder pin lug. The checkered English walnut grip is in fine shape with very few handling marks or blemishes present and the checkering points are only lightly flattened, mostly at the top and towards the gray-brown iron butt cap. The lock-up is still tight and the revolver mechanism is fully functional. This is a splendid Beaumont-Adams revolver, and rates excellent overall. Antique
