Scarce and seldom seen this is a highly sought 2nd Generation gun with the upgraded flat spring to hold the cylinder lever pin in place. (As opposed to the 1st generation piano wire spring that had a tendency to break) It has the grooved front & back grip straps, early serial # 14,728 on butt of grip, lanyard grip, 3 screw sideplate and new original grips. Prior to total refinish this gun was thoroughly checked out... amazing accuracy, timing and lock up are spot on. The "Original" guns are made of Certified Ordnance Alloy Steel (Highest quality of steel then and now) the unique (4) Plum dots on the left side of the frame are the carbon steel pins inserted during the forging. (Carbon steel does not accept the Bluing) Cylinder, frame and barrel are forged, the cold hammered barrel rifling is formed in the forging process eliminating cutting and creating a virtually indestructible barrel. Gun's bore is pristine with mirror grooves and sharp lands. Muzzle, forcing cone and recoil shield indicates light use. Hammer and trigger have been heat treated and polished to restore orignal "Straw" color. Widely regarded as the strongest most accurate and durable revolver ever made. Worth mentioning is the "Adjustable" trigger weight in both Double/Single Action that does not alter strength of mainspring due to roller bearings in trigger mechanism along with extensive hand fitting and polishing. Adjustment is accomplished w/o removing the sideplate ( only handgun in world at the time to have this feature and later adopted by Korth and Janz). This is an outstanding example of a legendary revolver... you will look a long time before seeing another like the seventies fixed sight version that was discontinued when Chapuis Armes assumed production of MR73(by the way just heard from a friend in France that soon Beretta will assume production of the Manurhin MR73) Congratulations your search is over, ceremoniously brandish this beauty at your local gun range and express your individuality. 40$ shipping fee, 3 days after FFL recieves U.F.O, separate shipping fee for ammo depending on zip code. Photos do not do justice to this handgun, streaks are oil, flawless finish. thanks for looking. SOLD... will be listing a 4'' soon SOLD Handgun Caliber: .357 Magnum Manufacturer: Manurhin Barrel Length: 3 |
