Description:
AUSTIN FREEMAN percussion, single action revolver. Manufactured by "Hoard's Armory" , in 1862.
"FREEMAN'S PAT. DECR 9 1862" is stamped on the right side of the top strap.
"HOARD'S ARMORY, WATERTOWN, N.Y." is stamped on the left side.
The Condition is Very Good +++. Serial Number # 151 matches the Frame, including the Barrel, Cylinder and Loading Lever. This revolver functions fine with a strong hammer, Good timing and Lockup ,.. THIS revolver was used 158 years ago, and shows moderate handling and firing wear.
FINISH... A Dark BROWN-BLUE patina. This is a VERY good example of an Uncommon Civil War era Percussion Revolver that won't break the Bank. $2,950. complete rig w/ Flap Holster
