Description:
This rifle has been fitted with new wood and was being built in the style of the sporters that JP Lower of Denver was makinig back in the day. He took the military Borchardt and restocked them into hunting rifles. Sometimes they were pretty simple and plain rifles, sometimes he finished them out very nicely based on whatever his customers wanted.
This rifle has its original barrel with a very good bore, it also has an original action and butt plate. It has been fitted and the stock was sanded to about 200 grit. A light finish was applied so you can see the figure in the wood. The action and barrel were polished to prep for bluing. The rifle is ready for final finish and bluing, and for the sights of your choice. You can go with metallic sights or even one of those nice MVA scopes. Caliber is still 45-70.
Its being sold as is, and you or your gunsmith can finsih it out to your speciifcations.
