Description:

Rare US Model 1813 Flintlock Pistol by Simeon North. Manufactured 1813 to 1815 .69 caliber. Smooth bore, 9 1/16” barrel length. Research indicates that 1000 pistols were delivered to the Navy and 626 to the Army. This pistol has the Steel belt hook on the left side of the pistol and makes this a Navy pistol (no Belt hook for the Army pistols) The initials “ET” for Edward Trenchard are clearly seen on the left side just behind the rear tang of the belt hook. Trenchard was the US inspector for the Navy shipped pistols. Lock marked North and DLN Con. The S for U.S is sharp the eagle and “U” are worn and not visible. The barrel has the P and U.S on the left side and the letter “H” on the right side. The lock functions perfectly and holds half and full cock. Frizzen operates perfectly. Stock is good plus to very good with no chips, no cracks and no repairs. This is a very desirable 1813 North, being a Navy issued pistol and having trenchard’s initials.
