Description:
***SOLD*** ~Batavia Leader 12ga SxS shotgun, manufactured by Baker Gun & Forging Co. in Batavia, NY. This particular gun is an early 1st Model, with the serial number range beginning at 75XXX, and this gun having a 77XXX serial number. The shotgun features London Twist steel barrels, and walnut furniture, with period-correct flat-top checkering in the grip areas. The buttplate bares the makers mark, BG&F co., and the forend has a nice little ebony insert. The shotgun is in excellent working order with fully functional locks, operable controls, and a tight, on-face action. The barrels ring nicely, and the bores are in good shape with only some small areas of minor pitting, as shown. Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the shotgun. This is a wonderful collectible shotgun, and one of the classic American side-by-side shotgun companies! IC chokes, 13.25" LOP.
