Mag. with Metal Work by Herman Waldron and Some Engraving by Robert Swartley Finished in September of 1977, All 3 names are engraved on the grip cap, 24 3/4" barrel without any open sights, Waldron custom profiled scope bases with the rear ring dovetailed into the base, 1" rings, A 2-position wing safety on the bolt sleeve, Three panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Canjar trigger, Jeweled bolt and follower, Action rails inside and out are polished, Checkered bolt stop release, Hinged floorplate with a center bow release, A Kennedy Custom Classic style stock, Full wrap around point pattern checkering, Shadowline cheekpiece, Double steel crossbolts engraved by Swartley, Fully engraved steel grip cap by Swartley, Sling eyes on the stock, Lightning cuts inside the forend, Kennedy signed inside the inletting, Glass bedded at the recoil lug and barrel cylinder only, 13 11/16" LOP over a 1" pad, 8 lbs., A very nice piece of European Walnut, The original satin blue remains at 100%, The original stock finish at 99.5%, The checkering remains at 100%, The bore is new. It is an accurate rifle. Here is an American classic with the touch by 3 Masters.

Monty Kennedy was a full time stockmaker since 1946 and wrote the book "Checkering and Carving of Gun Stocks" for those that desired to stock and checker a gun stock. Herman Waldron was a superb metal smith and the work on this piece is near flawless. Robert Swartley was a Master Engraver. He was an understudy of Josef Fugger at Griffin & Howe. He also was one of the founders of the American Engravers Guild.
