Description:
Beautifully engraved FN 16-gauge boxlock ejector upland double with 30” barrels. Excellent plus condition with nicely figured European walnut straight grip stock and splinter forearm, bolstered frame with hidden third fastener, and beautiful Angelo Bee game scene engraving. Left side of frame features pheasants, right side waterfowl, bottom partridges, and the trigger guard has bobwhite quail. Bee’s signature can be found on the left side of the frame, lower righthand corner(see bottom photo). Weight is 6lb 5oz and it balances just in front of the hinge pin. Great handling. *** The 30” steel barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and are topped by a raised, solid hand crosshatched rib. The rib has a white middle and sliver front bead. The right barrel is bored 0.660 with a constriction of 0.006 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is also bored 0.660 and has a constriction of 0.018 for Modified choke. *** The nicely figured stock is made of select European walnut. Checkering is crisp. Stock dimensions are 14-5/8” to a checkered butt by 1-3/8” by 2-3/8. Cast off for the righthanded shooter. *** This is a beautiful and great handling 16-bore by one of Europe’s greatest gunmakers. It is in pristine condition and is engraved by the renowned engraver, Angelo Bee, who has engraved a large number of high-grade Brownings. I have never seen one of these before as they are produced in limited numbers and consequently very hard to come by. Don’t let it get away! *** I only sell to US residents. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period and will only accept returns at buyer’s expense if the gun is not as described in the listing. The buyer will be very pleased with the condition of this firearm.
