Serial Number 23325 - .52RF Lever Action - 20 Inch Barrel with fair bore considering a Civil War
Military field used carbine - Firearm manufactured by Burnside Rifle Co in 1865 - Saddle Ring and Bar
on left side - No Stabler Cut-Off Device - The Magazine tube is missing from the carbine and original replacements can
still be found via internet - The sights apear to be original to the rifle - The hammer spur has top rear piece missing which
had broken off many a year ago - The hammer still functions as it should, stays at half cock & full cock, and the action
functions properly & is tight - There were aprox 34,000 of these made & the US Government purchased about 30,502 for the war -
