Description:
This shotgun gets all of the oooz & ahhhs. This is a remarkable PARKER BROS. Damascus steel "G" grade 12 gauge, hammerless side by side shotgun with extractors, gorgeous 30 1/8" Damascus steel barrels with 1/2" wide tapered top scrolling in fine detail. Barrels weigh 4 pounds 3 ounces, 2 1/2" chambers, tang safety, steel bead front sight, double triggers with 13 & 14" LOP, patent date January 1887, gun made 1891, five digit serial number 68613, black butt plate picturing dog with bird in its mouth, chokes not marked on early models, 12 gauge but not indicated on early models, stock and forehand in select checkered walnut, made in Meriden, Connecticut, brass shield on bottom of stock, grade II sharp and legible engraving: floor plate 2 prairie chickens with one looking back; left receiver 2 flying ducks; right receiver 2 sitting prairie chickens. All 3 serial numbers match, 100% of case coloring on receiver is gone, barrels in near magnificent condition with one slight hollow on right lower barrel; walnut is superb. Butt plate has one small chip on bottom tip end. Bored both bright and shiny but not perfect. Precision workmanship like a Swiss watch. By comparison, this shotgun is very reasonably priced at $3500.00 including FedEx shipping to the FFL of your choice in the lower 48.
