Item Description:
ATTENTION JIM BOWIE COLLECTORS, this gun and cap loader were given to a former Command Sergeant Major while in Mexico in the mid 1970s. He was told that it was Jim Bowie's own gun, as the bearer's grandfather was in Santa Anna's army when they took the Alamo. He also recieved a knife which is said to be Jim Bowie's own knife from the Battle of the Alamo, which you can find in a seperate Guns International listing. Close up photos of the markings on this gun, including the initials "JB", "A.W. Spies Warranted" and "Buffalo" stamped on the barrel, can be found in the photos for this listing.
