This is a mint Colt AR-15 Sporter Model SP1 in .223 caliber with 20" barrel manufactured in 1972. This "Pre-Ban" SP1 is all original and in excellent condition with no signs of wear or damage on any part of the gun. It has the original cleaning kit in the butt stock compartment. The bolt carrier group has minimal signs of wear. I no longer have the original box or magazine. O.D. Green carry strap in very good condition (unknown if it's original). The magazine shown in the photos is a Colt 20 round mag. stamped 5.56mm. It has the classic, retro, Colt 4x20 carry handle mounted scope on the rifle. This is an ideal gun for a collector as this is a very pristine example of what this rifle looked like the day it was purchased.
