Another rare confederate sword just out of an attic in Salt Lake City, in a most wonderful attic condition, showing typical confederate
manufacturing traits and flaws, exhibits 80 percent plus original leather grip and all original wire, an has a most wonderful iron scabbard by b. douglas as well, only one push on the back side to retain the sword in the scabbard and limit rattle.I believe this sword was made for an officer seemss to exhibit remnants of blade engraving although the blade is pitted from storage inside the scabbard, and to top off a great piece the lapped seam scabbard is one of the finest i have ever seen-and an added bonus there is CS marked on the blade, undecernable in hand but shows in photo i see remnants of the CS on both sides..a classic style in top attic as found condition. a must have piece..
