It is complete with its original matching components to include the No. 32 Mk III scope, scope mount, original matching serial numbered canvas scope storage bag, and even the original matching green wooden sniper rifle storage chest. These rifles were the standard WWII British sniper rifles used throughout WWII until the early 1960s. The butt socket is marked "M47C/P38793/1944/TR" with the "No. 4 Mk. I" and "T" receiver marks. It has a matching bolt with a number "0" marked bolt head, standard front sight and its correct milled sniper type adjustable rear sight. The underside of the forearm is stamped with a British "Crown/JC N22 (the manufacturer's code) over rifle number "P38793". The underside of the buttstock is stamped with a British Crown proof over "SL " and "S51", with the matching scope serial number "21316" on top of the wrist. The No. 32 Mk III sniper scope, is marked "TEL. STG. No.32 Mk.3/OS 2039A/CT&H No. 24012" and the scope tube is hand painted with a blue "B" " letter indicating it has bloomed lens coating. The mount is stamped with rifle serial number "P" and "KD". It has original matching scope ring halves; with the retaining screws having their original staking marks. The scope has the standard WWII three post reticle pattern. The rifle, scope and mount all have their original wartime finish with original oil finish walnut buttstock, forend and handguards. The comb of the stock is correctly fitted with a walnut cheekpiece held on with two wood screws. This rifle comes with an original No. 8 Mk2 canvas telescope case and carrying strap that has the original small paper labels on the front with the matching numbers for the rifle, scope and mount. Also included is a set of original 1941 dated/British proofed leather lens caps, and a 1918 dated British leather sling. Completing the kit is its original green painted wooden storage/transit chest, with paper interior label intact. One leather hinge appears to be a replacement, as are the leather carry handles. The original carry handles are fragile and included inside the case. This set is in excellent condition, with 98% plus of the original British finish with minor edge and high spot wear. The scope and mount are also in excellent condition with 95% plus of their original finish with only finish loss on the ends of the scope where the lens caps were installed. The optics are clear and sharp. The stock and handguard all retain their original oil finish showing some minor handling marks on the sides in some areas with clear sharp proofs and markings. The scope case and accessories are all in excellent condition.which is also marked on top of the lid of the rifle chest. The wooden chest is in fine condition with wear on the edge and corners. Shipping We ship firearms via UPS. They must be sent to an FFL. Hand guns must travel via Air, whilst long guns and other items can go via Ground.
