1903 Mannlicher-Schoenauer Takedown Rifle marked by Westley Richards, Birmingham.
Caliber 6.5x54 M/S. Barrel marked Shooting Tested by Westley Richards & Co. Birmingham. British proof marks on side of barrel and Made in Austria on top of barrel just ahead of the receiver. All original rust bluing with only minor wear on top of the barrel just ahead of the receiver ring. All other bluing in near new condition. Takedown stock is 14-1/2 inch length of pull fitted with original 3/4 inch Silvers recoil pad. Original Schoenauer flip up peep sight and original grip cap. Stock has been professionally refinished with a London oil and checkering repointed to "as new" condition.
This rifle shoots excellent groups with both 160 and 140 grain bullets. Unlike many 1903's the chamber is precise with no excessive head space. Loading data will be provided.
