Description:
Offered from my personal collection is a quality custom FN rifle in the always popular .30-06 caliber. It features a classic custom English walnut stock, finely hand crafted by Fred Speiser of Missoula, MT, from a high quality/figured blank. It has an ebony wood fore end, skeleton grip cap and skeleton butt with fill in checkering. The rifle was made in Belgium in the 1950's. The FN hinged steel floorplate and trigger guard have hand cut fine scroll engraving from FN in Belgium. There is a hooded front sight, but has never had a rear sight. The safety is 3 position mounted on a streamlined bolt shroud, ala model 70 style. Trigger is a quality custom. The sling swivels are quick detachable type. Condition remains in excellent 99.9% new condition. There is one small spot of wear at the rear of the action, where the lug on the cocking piece has contacted the stock wood. All-in-all, you would be hard pressed to find a better value in a custom rifle. No factory model can compare in value at the price.
