1936 WINCHESTER MODEL 54 HEAVY TARGET .257 ROBERTS BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Serial number "4777X-A". Factory original blue with crisp barrel markings. 24" bull barrel with correct bases for a Fecker 16X Champion that was on it(sold it separately). Still has factory front globe(with insert) that would have complimented a Lyman 48A if it has not been removed to accommodate scope. Slot cut in wood for rear adjustable sight excellent as are the tap holes which are factory. Correct matching bolt with same number on bolt body. Adjustable trigger with shoe added(removable). Overall factory blue is at 90% with balance on floorplate. Steel checkered buttplate removed to accommodate rubber vent pad to increase length of pull which without pad is 13 1/4"(from front of trigger shoe). Stock is the factory original target config with original finish. Period ivory round escutcheon panel on top of wrist. Factory sling swivels. Extra hole drilled in forend with bolt and washers(possible addition of weight) and small hole in pistol grip cap. Wrist has slight hairline extending from lower tang on both sides(no more than 2" and go nowhere). Old dried grease in recesses so NO rust or pitting anywhere. Classic pre-war target rifle the last year they were made in numbers and predecessor to Model 70. With later leather sling.
