PRE-WW2 EARLY GAS TRAP SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLE CIRCA 1939. Serial numbered in the 12,xxx range manufactured in June of 1939 as an original gas trap M1 and rebuilt as a gas cylinder gun. Vietnam era 1965 dated barrel and most parts replaced with original parts during the rebuild. Original as replaced wood with stock proofed “P” at inside of pistol grip. Excellent condition with most of the Parkerizing and stock finish. Shows little wear and has only two minor storage dings on hand guard. Excellent bore and very tight working order. Rare early low gas trap serial number
