For sale we have a truely great one family Winchester 1873 38-40 with a special order 28 inch octagon with a full magazine. This 73 looks to be a standard rifle ordered with the 28 in. barrel. The serial number 1722XXA puts it 83-84 give or take. The rifle was used and cared for, when we put a bore light in it, it confirmed the well cared for part.
