1949 STEVENS SAVAGE ARMS MODEL 311 A OR 311A .410GA. SIDE BY SIDE SHOTGUN. No serial number as was the trend then. Savage Arms Corp., Westfield , Mass address on left receiver and Model 311A on right with almost all the case color. 26" barrel with raised solid rib choked Full/Full. Finish on barrels is the factory original blue at 97%. Tight lockup with lever right of center. Dbl triggers and extractors. Automatic safety. Factory wood with some cosmetic checks to factory finish but superficial and will blend in so NO dings or dents. The date code on the receiver flat is an "A' and "1" in circle so assuming "A" is first post-war code of 1949.
