Description:
This is a very nice Winchester model 63 from 1950. It is a 22 LR semi-automatic that fires Super Speed and Super X ammo. The gun is all original except for the front sight, that has been upgraded to a Lyman number 31 FA. All the metal finishes are totally original, with clear script, proof marks, and serial numbers. Both serial numbers match, as the model 63 is a take-down rifle, and some guns get the 2 parts mismatched. The blue shows only wear to the normal cary areas, and a few specks here and there.The walnut stocks have a lot of figure under the original varnish. They show no cracks or repairs, but several small blems from all the years of fun in the woods. The Winchester model 63 is considered by many to be one of the most accurate and highest quality 22 semi-automatics ever built. This 70 year old gun is in great shape,with an excellent bore, and plenty of life left.
