Excellent bore. Virtually as new.
Commercial Mauser action with usual "B" and "U" proofs and makers markings on side wall.
Bolt retains classic pear-shaped commercial knob, and numbers matching cocking piece, bolt release and flag safety.
Bottom metal, fitted with double set triggers, has hinged floorplate retained by the European style lever release.
Beautifully streaked European walnut stock with horn cap and shadow line cheekpiece measuring 14-1/4″ over early type horn buttplate embossed with checkering and “W M” monogram.
Standard 'B' style checkering is at grip and forend. Forend tip is of schnabeled horn. This style of rifle was specially ordered by N.Y. import agent Hans Tauscher for the American market.
