MARYLAND ASSOCIATED CONFEDERATE “M” MARKED U.S. CAVALRY SABER AND CSA SCABBARD. Hilt guard of the Ames 1862 dated saber and the drag of the CSA brass mounted scabbard stamped with a large “M” very probably for Maryland. From a Southern Maryland collection of U.S. Martial arms started before WW2. 100% original and in un-touched condition. Matching patina on scabbard and sword. Very rare CSA made scabbard with welded seam and brass ring mounts. Welded steel throat and steel drag. Never on the market before.
