Description:
This is a very fine pair of D. Egg box lock folding trigger Muff Pistols with Grotesque mask on butt. They are 36 caliber percussion screw off Damascus barrel single shot pistols. Both pistols are finely engraved on both sides. The grips are exquisitely very finely checkered walnut. Both have monogram shields behind the tangs that are not engraved. Both pistols are British proof marked on the frames and barrels. Both tangs are engraved in fancy script D. Egg, No. 4 Pall Mall, London. The condition is 80% with very crisp mechanical function, excellent nipples and excellent smooth bores. Both pistols appear near unfired. It is not maker marked.
