This is the first Utah shipped Colt Single Action I’ve had the pleasure of handling. I can’t recall ever seeing one of these, though obviously there are some out there. This Colt comes with the factory letter that lists this revolver with a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .45 caliber, blue finish and hard rubber stocks when sold to Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Co. of St. Joseph, Missouri, and shipped to W.P. Coltharp & Co. of Vernal, Utah, on March 15, 1897. One could image what kind of life this Revolver had during its hay day in the Wild West. This Revolver exhibits a period dealer nickel plate about 65% intact. Mechanically very good. The grips are on excellent condition as well. Certainly a cool gun with Wild West history behind it!
