Description:
This is a desirable Winchester Model 1876 Deluxe Short Rifle in the even more desirable & scarcer 50-95 express caliber. This example features a straight grip Deluxe stock with shotgun butt, case hardened finish, 22” round barrel, Short magazine tube. The barrel is marked with the British Retailer marking “Jas Kerr & Co./54 King WM St E.C”. The left lower tang is marked “XX” and “863”, the inlet of the stock is also marked with the same assembly numbers “863”. Overall the barrel shows traces of original blue finish in protected areas, the frame shows silvered out original case colors. Serial number 5646. The wood stock is in good overall condition. Mechanically very good! Configuration has been confirmed by Cody. To find a short barrel 1876 is a bit of an oddity as not to many were produced. Here's a great gun for the money!
