Savage model 99EG in the hard to find 250-3000 Savage.Built in 1952,this rifle is in excellent condition.It retains 98% of the original blue finish,98% of the original wood finish,and 90% of the lever case colors.The 24" barrel has a mint bore and retains the original front and rear sights.The stock and forend are hand checkered and free of any cracks.Other features include a lever safety,a brass carteidge counter,and a steel buttplate. The receiver has been afternarket drilled and tapped and a period correct Redfield 2x7 scope installed.That is the only non original item on the rifle,and frankly it makes it a better hunting rifle.This is a high condition classic 99,in a very desirable caliber, that is set up and ready to hunt.C&R eliglble.
