Heres a Winchester 1886 rifle with a Special Order 24" Heavy Barrel 1/2round 1/2 octagon. Half Mag , Special order sights , Rifle butt in 45-70 Cal. . Looks like frame was refinished some time ago. Barrel looks polite factory finish . Wood has most all of its original finish still remaining, small sliver of wood missind on left side of upper tang area. Wood to metal fit is excellent. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Gun locks up tight . Rare bird with that Heavy barrel And correct period sights. Serial number 101,709 .
