The item for sale is a Naval Officer Dress Sword M1852. This is a WWII era sword and in very good condition with the exception of the pommel being missing. The sword is a regulation Naval sword and not a modern replica. It was made in the United States as marked on the blade. Many of these swords were imported for use by our military. It was made by. Hilborn Hamburger Inc. of New York. They opened their business in 1926 . The blade is ornately etched including USN and the name of the receiving Naval officer. The leather covered scabbard is also in very good condition. Please include $35 for shipping and insurance.
