Description:
SOLD Pending Funds *** Beretta MODEL 471 SILVER HAWK 12 gauge with 3 in. chambers and 28 inch barrels that have 5 each 2-3/4" long OptimaChokes. The chokes are Cylinder, IC, Mod, Imp Mod, and Full. This is one of the few side x sides that was made with factory screw in chokes for increased flexibility in the field. The action is an engraved satin chrome receiver with the ejector selector lever on inside left of the forearm that allows either automatic ejection or mechanical extraction. This is very unique to this model with a beavertail forend. The splinter forend models did not have this feature. It also has a single trigger with the barrel selector on the top tang with the safety. The stock is a pistol grip with a classic matte finish and a very fine 20 lines per inch checkering to a Kick-Ezz recoil pad with a length of pull is 14-1/4". The drop at the comb is 1-1/2" and the drop at the heel is 2-1/2". The gun weighs 6 -1/2 lbs. and was manufactured from 2003-2013; this one in 2007. The Beretta 470 was released in Europe in 1996 to commemorate the firm's 470th anniversary and made it to the US in 1997. It has since been updated with new features and finish options under the Model 471 designation. Lock-up is by the Purdey double-underlug method-with a slight twist. Beretta angled the lugs slightly to keep the gun tight even as surfaces wear. The lugs are manufactured by electric discharge machining (EDM), and the barrels are fused to the monobloc with a laser-making this classically styled side-by-side utterly modern in its manufacture. The surfaces of the breechface and receiver under the barrels are jeweled. It comes in the blue Beretta, foam padded, hard plastic, travel case. As the pictures show this gun has been shot very sparingly and it has no dings or dents.
