INDO-PERSIAN FARANG-KATTI SWORD CIRCA 1700’S. 44” o/a with very long 39” single edged straight blade with one narrow fuller in the fashion of the European backsword. Steel hilt and wire wrap. Very good overall with nice patina. See “ISLAMIC WEAPONS” by Anthony Tirri, PAGE 315 and FIGURE 236. Originally may have it’s origin in the ancient Persian town of Farang. Very scarce.
