We are offering for a sale a Remington Rand Inc 1911 M1911 A1 semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45ACP. This is a very special example as it was CUSTOM ACCURATIZED BY F. BOB CHOW of San Francisco. Bob Chow’s guns are scarce and quite sought after by collectors. 1944 manufacture date.
5” barrel is very good with bright bore showing crisp rifling. The barrel is marked “CHOW”. Slide is very good showing light surface wear; Rear front blade sight, rear adjustable “Bo-Mar” sight. Barrel bushing marked “CHOW”. Underside of the slide is also marked “CHOW” and “F.BOB CHOW”. Frame is very good showing very little wear. Frame is very good with light wear and is marked with the “United States Property M1911 A1 U.S. Army” mark. Barrel bushing marked “CHOW”. The gun functions flawlessly. The thumb safety shows bright blue finish. Original grips very good with light handling wear. This is a VERY SCARCE example of a Remington Rand M1911 A1 service pistol custom upgraded by the famous BOB CHOW.
