This Colt was produced in 1981 in the first year of this Custom Shop Finish. The pistol's serial number is 70B 01093. This pistol is in new condition having never been used or fired. This pistol has not been handled much or the slide worked and cocked. This Colt still has shipping grease in the internal areas. The special order Electroless Nickel finish is in new condition. This is a very hard finish that will last a long time. There is no wear or scratches on this finish. The wood grips are in new condition with sharp points on the checkering. The original magazine is intact. This is a Brand New Colt with this rare Electroless finish. The original box has the custom shop label intact stating this finish. The box has the styrofoam internal case. The original papers are with this pistol. The outer Colt jacket is in good condition with the end tab separated from the jacket. However, every thing is there. It is not common to see a Government Model Pistol given this finish. Most of the Colt's that had this finish were the Match Target models. This is a very rare finish that is seldom seen. Having this rare finish on a standard Government Model and the custom shop label stating that finish is a real plus for the collector!
