Very nice and all original Pre War Winchester 70 in the highly popular and often difficult to find .270 caliber. S/N 23*** with matching bolt made way back in 1939! This rifle is in excellent condition throughout and should fairly rate about 95% overall showing only very light wear relative to its age. The barrel is 24" with an excellent bore. Early frost blued extractor. Mechanics are perfect and like butter, typical of these ultra-fine rifles. If you have been looking for an unaltered Pre War 270 as a collectible shooter, this would be a very worthy candidate.
