<<<SOLD>>>>This vintage Lefever is a quality made 12ga double, not made my Ithaca with a SN of 51561 and a G grade , with a marching barrel numbers. Locks up tight and points well. The American walnut wood stocks are very good with fine hand checkering, and a few handling dents from field use but no serious damage.Side locks still has traces of color case hardening. The LOP with the factory intalled black rubber butt-plate is 14 3/8". The barrels are 27" and the muzzle has the tubes just about touching each other. Lock-up is solid and the bores are super clean and shiny. Exterior metal on the barrel is grey with perhaps added coloring. and few patches of very fine pitting up closer to the rnd of the forend where someone would carry this fine gun. Chokes are Right-MOD and Left-IM. Chamber the 2 3/4" black powder shell. The recoil shiled on the rigth side has raised corrosion that could be sanded off.. Some chisel scroll engraving on the frame and trigger guard, When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
