Description:
This is one of the special edition Rugers in the Alaskan series, in 6.5x55. These feature slimmer stocks, blued bolts, express sights, barrel bands, and red pads. I got this one when they first came out. I put a scope on it, shot a few rounds to get the scope "on", and it's been sitting in the safe ever since.
The 6.5x55, or Swedish Mauser" is a great round. It is quite popular in Europe, and very inexpensive ammunition is available from several European manufacturers like Privi Partisan, Sellier & Belloit, etc.
The rifle comes with Ruger 1" rings, plus the box and all else that's included with a new rifle.
If you'd like a classy Deer rifle that can handle game up to Moose, this would be hard to beat.
