Description:
This Colt was produced in 1959. The pistol's serial number is 41363 LW. This Colt has the original grips intact. These grips were called Coltwood plastic grips by the factory. They were nicknamed "Pony" grips by collectors. The original barrel is in fine condition with sharp lands. The slide has that high polish finish with the sand blasted top. The sights are original to this Colt. The alloy frame has no cracks or damage. The front grip area has some bluing fadeing. The frame sides retain most of the original finish. This Colt has the correct magazine in the gun. The action works great with no issues. This pistol locks up tight with no play. This pistol shows honest wear and use. There is no abuse or alterations done on this Colt. This Colt would rate a 93% and better with the original bluing and condition. These early Commanders in 38 Super are not commonly seen. This is a very nice original condition Colt Lightweight Commander in the hard to find 38 Super that will appeal to the shooter as well as the collector.  Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
