Here is a very attractive Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine in a less common caliber, .25-35. The rifle has fine wood and the metal is smooth but does have bluing loss. The Winchester actions of this era tended to have the bluing flake as this one has. Barrel and tube have thinning blue toward the receiver. Overall, the gun presents a very nice appearance for a rifle made in 1928 as the pictures will show. The walnut stock is in excellent condition with almost all the original finish still present. The action works perfectly and the bore is bright and strong. Rear barrel sight has been replaced with a blank as the gun sports a period tang sight.
With this sight set-up and the new .25-35 ammunition from Hornady, this rifle will make a 200 yard whitetail rifle. A very nice example of an American made Winchester from back in the day or real quality. A gun to hunt with or just admire while it grows in value. $50 shipping and insurance to your C&R or ffl.
