Mulhouse Manurhin MR73 4" Circa 1975 the "Original" Defense Model issued to Police/Special Forces. Scarce and Seldom seen, this is a highly sought 2nd generation gun with the upgraded flat spring to hold the cylinder pin in place (1st generation piano wire spring had tendency to break) Early serial # C 23153 is on butt, 3 screw plate and lanyard grip and original Trausch grips date this gun. Also, gun was thoroughly checked out before adding these amazing one-off customTrigicon night sights and beautiful high gloss refinish. Accuracy, timing and lock up are spot on.(All this work took 33 weeks done at 2 locations) these "original" guns were made of certified ordance alloy steel(highest quality then and now)Barrel, Frame and Cylinder are forged. The plum dots on left side are carbon steel pins inserted during forging(gives it a cool factor) Gun's bore is pristine with mirror grooves and sharp lands. Muzzle , forcing cone and recoil shield indicate light use. Hammer and trigger have been heat treated and polished to restore original "straw" color. Mr 73 is widely recognized as the strongest most accurate and durable revolver ever made. Additionally, worth mentioning the "adjustable" trigger weight in double/single action that does not alter the mainspring strength due to roller bearings in trigger mechanism along with extensive hand fitting and polishing. Adjustment is done without removing sideplate (only handgun in the world at the time and later adopted by Korth and Janz) This is an outstanding example of the "Original" Legendary MR73 with a little more swag! You will look a long time before seeing another like this. Congratulations your search is over... Ceremoniously brandish this beauty at your local gun range and express your individuality!
