Description:
This is a unique opportunity for someone to own a pair of Clark Long Heavy slides that have been together since they were new. One is a .45 acp and the other is a .38 special. Both guns are in good original condition. They were both made by Jim Clark Sr. at his Shreveport, La. facility.
What makes this pair unique is that they come with a considerable amount of original documentation. The .45 has the original sales receipt ( it cost $208.35 to covert to a long heavy slide in 1971), break in instructions and original 50 yard bench test target. The .38 has the original 50 yard bench test target and break in instructions as well. Also included is a test target from a Clark .38 long slide that was traded in for the .38 long heavy slide listed here. The original owner was apparently a very good marksman as he placed 6th overall in his class at Camp Perry in 1972 with the pistols. Additional documentation included are notes and letters and even a telegraph between the original owner and Clark Sr. as well as some Clark company brochures and price lists. The 45 comes with one magazine and the 38 comes with a total of three. Bores on both guns are good. A really neat time capsule of Clark pistols and history. Most types of payment accepted but must clear my bank before shipment. I will be set up at the Tulsa Wanenmacher's gunshow April 10th and 11th, row 20c, tables 10 and 11......
